Just been training the talented L&D and Marketing teams at Bosch UK

We just spent a wonderful week providing video production training to the L&D and Digital Marketing teams at Bosch.

In just 3-days we covered everything from scripting, storyboarding, storytelling and pre-production preparation to filming, shot composition, lighting, sound design, video interviewing skills and editing.

They are now capable of producing their own videos in-house.

Our courses are delivered at your premises buy highly experienced producers and tailored to your exact needs.

Here’s the review from Ashley Talbot who attended the course:

“Peter ran the course and was absolutely brilliant. His real-world experience and knowledge in the industry really shone through. The delivery was clear, well-paced, and packed with relevant, practical info, no fluff, no filler, purely useful content.

“On day two, Peter brought in his colleague Gregg, a seriously skilled camera and drone operator. He covered everything from lighting setups to technical camera configuration. What made a big difference for me was how Gregg took the time to walk me through things using my own camera and gimbal (gear he clearly knew inside out). That hands-on, near one-to-one time was absolutely invaluable. Honestly, I could have spent a week just learning from him.

“I thought I was fairly confident with a camera, but this opened up a whole new level of technical detail and creative thinking. My notebook is now full of gold, from planning all the way through to final edits.

“Genuinely great people with a real passion for cinematic video, and a clear drive to share it with others.”

Back at TGW to train more of their L&D team

We absolutely love our job!!
What a great pleasure it was to return to TGW UK and provide more video production training to some additional members of their amazing L&D team: Devki Pandit, Alan Cross, Mark Fairhurst and Rebecca Davis under the direction of Brian Hendry.
We have now trained 8 members of their UK team and hoping soon to provide further training in Europe.
Our training covered every aspect of video production from preparation; planning; scripting; storytelling and storyboarding; through to filming on smartphones; shot sizes, angles and composition; lighting; sound design; video interviewing and the basics of editing – all in two days.
Thank you so much for this opportunity TGW!
The end result is that instead of relying on costly production companies they can now create professional video content in-house, and their first productions have been amazing.

Back to Production at DAC (Daventry) – A Lesson in Sound Design

Although I mostly spend my time now training companies and agencies how to create all their video content in-house, I occasionally also return to the production world for selected clients.

Here is an Exhibition stand video that we have just produced for DAC (Digital Advanced Control) in Daventry. My sincere thanks to Yan Phoenix, Cameron Phoenix, Lionel Hutt and Steve Rees for this opportunity.

Please watch it with the sound on, so you can see how the use of sound effects and natural sound add a whole new dimension to a video.

So many producers do not add sound effect layers to add emphasis and punctuation, and hide the natural sounds behind a booming sound track. It is like watching an important event with music booming in your AirPods and missing the entire atmosphere of your surroundings.

We’d be delighted to provide video production training for your team so that you can have this expertise in-house.
All our training is presented in-house by highly experienced producers and tailors to your exact needs.

Wonderful week training Vaillant UK

At the end of the course we premiered their first videos and awarded some well deserved Video Mastery Oscars.

We love what we do!

Having a career that you really love is a huge blessing.
I’ve spent 37 years travelling the world producing videos for companies of all sizes.

Now, with a team of equally experienced producers, I channel all of that experience into teaching organisations to create cinematic, memorable and emotionally engaging videos in-house – just using their smartphones.
I spend every week empowering teams from UK companies to produce all of their videos in-house, and I love it!

In the last few months I have shared my experience with teams from Microsoft, Warburtons, Linde Material Handling, NHS, Central Bedfordshire Council, Barnet Council, Smartmarketing, Sheilds, Newtons & Co Estate Agents, AO and TU Dublin.

Training at TGW

In mid-January we are training the L & D team at TGM in Market Harborough. During the three days we spend together we taught them every aspect of video production from script to screen. Our thanks to Carys Pyne.Aaron Singh, Jonathan Tipper and Brian Hendry for their enthusiastic participation!

We are now returning in May 2025 to train another group at TGW.

Presenting Training for Microsoft

It was a great privilege to train staff from Microsoft in partnership with Sorinteq. Our role was to help them prepare for an upcoming filming session by teaching them presenting confidence, how to read from autocue and teaching them to relax in front of the camera.

Glen Thompsett from our presenting skills faculty, a regular presenter and newsreader for Global, also taught them body language and vocal exercise skills.

We were delighted to hear that a week later when they were in front of the camera they presented impeccably!!
